What was the problem?
A large, publicly listed company was facing a huge conundrum. One of its subsidiaries has been trying to grow its business for the past 10 years without consistent success. The company is now mulling whether the business is worth continuing or not. They decided that they needed to get down to the bottom of the challenges that the subsidiary is facing before making that critical next step.
This was the solution.
Prior to proposing a solution, we gained access to the subsidiary and interviewed key persons within their sales and marketing team. From this, we constructed a list of initial hypotheses on why business was not doing better than expected. We proposed a business workshop, inviting the subsidiary's key customers to share their input in order to pin-point where the subsidiary's true business challenges laid. After the workshop, the subsidiary and our client obtained concrete insights about their business on which clear remedial actions can be taken.
